EP Silent Bird was the first album for Nikki Louder and also first for Cheap Tunes collective. Silent Bird captures the beginnings of the band’s music work and their endless improvisations.
Silent Bird is distinctive for its mixture of guitar and vocal outbursts emphasized with epileptic drumming and distorted bass lines. 5 songs captured in 20 minutes long album is the first insight into Nikki Louder's music that on one side flirts with music genres such as post or stoner rock and primal noise on the other. Though their music might be compared with bands such as Nirvana, At The Drive-In, Sonic Youth or Arab on Radar, Nikki Louder tend to create their own unique sound, that could be best described as sonic rock.
